AFRICAN AERIAL SAFARIS
Where the Journey is the Destination
HOW IT ALL STARTED
The idea of African Aerial Safaris originated in 2016 when we embarked on a flying trip with a light two-seater aircraft through South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. We got this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly over some of the most incredible scenery in Southern Africa. When we started looking at maps we realised how important planning was going to be. There was just so much to see, and the only way to make sure we didn’t miss anything was to methodically plot each place of interest on a map, and then connect the dots. All the planning paid off, and most of our time in the aircraft during those twelve days was spent in awe at the scenery unfolding below us. Up to that point we had done many safaris before, but the combination of the spectacular scenic journey by air, followed by the up-close and personal safari on the ground took the whole experience to a new level.
